Install PanoPosts on your device

PanoPosts runs in your browser — installing just gives you a faster launch and a full-screen, app-like experience. Your photos still never leave your device.

Opens panoposts.com in a new tab.

Every platform installs a little differently. We've put yours on top — the rest are here in case you're sharing this page with a friend.

iPhone or iPad (Safari)

iOS only installs from Safari, and it pins whichever URL you're viewing. Open the real app at panoposts.com first, then add it.

  1. Open panoposts.com in Safari (not Chrome or Firefox — iOS only installs from Safari).
  2. Tap the Share button in Safari's toolbar.
  3. Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen".
  4. Confirm the name and tap "Add". PanoPosts now lives on your home screen.

Installed apps launch panoposts.com directly — no install page, no extra hop.

Android (Chrome)

Chrome on Android shows a native install prompt as soon as you visit a real installable site. If you don't see it, you can install from the menu.

  1. Open panoposts.com in Chrome.
  2. Tap the three-dot menu and choose "Install app" (sometimes labeled "Add to Home Screen").
  3. Confirm and tap "Install". PanoPosts joins your app drawer.

Samsung Internet, Edge, and Brave on Android work the same way.

Mac (Safari)

Safari 17+ on macOS Sonoma and up can pin PanoPosts to your Dock as a standalone app.

  1. Open panoposts.com in Safari.
  2. Open the File menu and choose "Add to Dock…".
  3. Confirm the name and click "Add". PanoPosts appears in your Dock and Launchpad.

Chrome on Mac also works — it'll show an install icon in the address bar (see the Desktop card below).

Desktop (Chrome, Edge, Brave)

On any Chromium-based desktop browser, the address bar shows a small install icon when a site is installable.

  1. Open panoposts.com.
  2. Click the install icon at the right end of the address bar (a tiny monitor with a down arrow), or open the browser menu and choose "Install PanoPosts…".
  3. Confirm. PanoPosts opens in its own window and appears in your apps list.

Firefox doesn't support web app installs on desktop yet — bookmark the site instead.

Other browsers

Anything else (Firefox desktop, in-app browsers, less common shells) doesn't support installing web apps. You can still use PanoPosts at panoposts.com — just bookmark it for quick access.

  1. Open panoposts.com.
  2. Bookmark the page or pin the tab.
  3. That's it — every feature works the same as the installed version.

PanoPosts has no offline mode by design, so a bookmark is functionally identical for now.

Quick questions

Do I need an account?
No. PanoPosts has no sign-up — open it and start prepping panoramas.
Does it work offline?
Mostly, yes — once the page has finished loading. PanoPosts runs entirely in your browser, so after the editor is on screen it has everything it needs to crop, reproject and export your panoramas without talking to any server. You can drop your phone into airplane mode and keep working until you refresh the page or close the tab. The only parts that still need a connection are the optional Street View lookup and map picker, which call out to third-party services. There is no offline cache, so a fresh visit (or a hard refresh) will always need the network for that first load.
Why is this on a different domain?
panoposts.app is just install instructions. The actual app — and any installed shortcut — lives at panoposts.com.
